MAN Medium Speed Propulsion Engines
L28/32H and L23/30H fuel engines from MAN Diesel & Turbo efficiently run on liquid fuels or natural gas with emissions far below the IMO limit.
Conventional Injection Engines
These well-established engine types are used in various applications all around the world. Based on long-term experience, the engines have been subject to constant development improving their power, fuel oil consumption and reliability, making them the prime mover of choice in the maritime sector.
Diesel Oil (D) Engines
The L23/30H, L28/32H, features very favourable ratios of power-to-weight and power-to-installation space.Together with its low fuel consumption, its low emissions and its reduced life cycle costs, this engine represents the ideal solution for all vessels.
The L23/30H, L28/32H engine might operate on distillates according to ISO 8217 DMA or equivalent fuel types.
Turbocharging
The MAN Diesel & Turbo turbocharging system operates with high-efficiency turbocharger. In this way, the engines operating at its optimum operating point over the whole applicable load range. The result is an extended operating envelope at low engine speeds, which gives a power reserve for ship acceleration, ship turning sprints or towing.
Furthermore, a low thermal signature, decreased smoke emission, low vibrations and continuous low-load operation with reduced fuel consumption characterise the TC system, and make it the ideal solutions for all vessels.
